Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Hammer Card collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using our website or ordering a card, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Order and profile details you enter: name, email, job title, chosen URL/handle, bio, and links.
- Files you upload: your resume and/or CV.
- Shipping and contact details you provide at checkout: shipping address and phone number.
- Payment information: processed directly by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as your email and the last digits/brand of your card) but never your full card number.
- Basic technical data from normal web serving (such as IP address and request logs), used for security and to operate the site.
2. How we use it
- To design, print, and ship your cards;
- To create and host your profile page at your chosen URL;
- To contact you about your order;
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure;
- To comply with law.
3. What's public
Your profile page is public by design — the whole point is that people can tap your card and see it. Anything you put on your page (name, title, bio, links, resume/CV) is publicly accessible to anyone with the URL. Do not upload anything you would not want to be public. Your email, shipping address, and phone number are not shown on your public page unless you choose to include them.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, specifically:
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy);
- Vercel — website hosting and file storage (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy);
- Printing and shipping partners, to fulfill and deliver your order;
- Authorities, when required by law.
5. Where your files live
Uploaded resumes and CVs are stored in cloud file storage (Vercel Blob) at unguessable URLs. Because your page is meant to be shared publicly, treat these files as public.
6. Retention
We keep order and profile information for as long as we host your page and as needed for our records, legal, and tax obligations. You may ask us to delete your page and associated data (see Section 8); some records tied to completed transactions may be retained as required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including processing payments through Stripe and serving the site over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your profile information, take down your hosted page, or provide a copy of the data we hold about you. Email hello@hammercard.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted here.
